Thats been the point all along.

CONTENT should be something a designer can deny, persons should not be. ANY person demanding CONTENT that violates a persons religious faith (Muslim, Jew, Christian etc) is forcing speech and preventing free exercise of religion.

 

This is applicable as it deals w/ free speech: Michigan House passes bill making wrong pronouns a felony, fineable up to $10,000

No one should be ridiculed, intimidated nor threatened…really for any reason. This law doesn’t say “you MUST use someone’s preferred pronouns” (as the law in Canada that made Jordan Peterson famous). It does say you cannot mess with the pronouns to intimidate, cause harm and try to hurt someone else.

The law that needs to be passed: “Don’t be an asshole.” (I think that’s the 6th commandment, but I’m a bit rusty on my scripture).
Judge it by a jury of your peers - asshole or no asshole? Hmmm… I think i just created a great reality show!!

 

This was a genuinely tough case. What concerns me is people are saying there is no limiting principle in the decision. That's a huge problem, if true. I am of the opinion that they're right in ruling in favor of this woman, but they should have done so narrowly.
