I may have missed this or perhaps he didn’t comment in print; just wondering if Sully ever spoke about the final game disaster? FYI, I’m a huge Sully fan and am glad we have him. I think he is usually a straight shooter who doesn’t BS. We’ll be back to Omaha soon, hopefully real soon.
That must have been an earlier game than in the LSU series. I like it though and no post game comments are needed! I remember that ump, he was horrific; perhaps SEC tourney game or post season game pre-final series.
He can be calm or ballistic or in between; I think he is a realist as a head coach, pragmatic. In no way did he ever think we’d get hammered in the championship game like that nor did the LSU coach think they’d get run ruled twice in game 2! I really thought we would win the game coming off that slaughter but we couldn’t get them out. I’m over it but it took some time. It was a memorable season.
