We have not had anything but a “lesser of two evils” election since 1992.

O&B and I usually disagree, but he actually reads posts and can critically think.
You have your mind made up about everything and about other posters. That used to be concerning but now is just sad.

How about that lady that gave the rebuttal speech to the state of the union. Can't remember her name but she seemed like right up Trump's alley.

The most bulletproof pick is DeSantis. They'd have to do a residency switch-a-roo, but that's easy. DeSantis buys a vacation property in another state and calls it "home." Similar to what Cheney did in 2000. I think all Cheney did was switch his voter registration in July 2000 and bam, he was legal.

The question is would DeSantis accept. I think he would.... because it almost guarantees him nominee status for 2028. And he gives the GOP the best chance to win again in 2028, as he would be seen as the Harvard/Yale, former military that he is and a decent segue from Trump. Beyond DeSantis, I think Trump's safest pick is Stefanik.

Although Meatball Ron has started kissing Trump's ass again I don't think that Trump would select him as a running mate. Trump's narcissistic personality disorder is so extreme that the Donald would never choose a politician as a running mate who had the audacity to run against him. Tim Scott who also ran for the nomination still remains a real possibility although unlike DeSantis who for a while was actually ahead of Trump in the polls Scott never remotely represented a threat to Trump.

As far as the Cheney's residency is concerned a more appropriate solution would be for Donald Trump to return to New York and again declare that state as his residency not that he ever would do so. Cheney was a resident of Wyoming and in fact represented that state in Congress before he moved to Texas after he was selected as CEO of Halliburton. In the case of Cheney his relocation back to Wyoming was more of a case of his returning to his original state of residence rather than purchasing a vacation property as work around for the residency requirement.

Desantis is done on the national stage. He crashed and burned once people got to see just how unlikeable he is. Like it or not, many people vote on the standard of "would you want to have a beer with this person" and Desantis is the type of person that you don't even want to be at the same bar with.

Right and Kamala Harris is someone you’d want to be within 100 miles of?

I didn't say she was the 2028 frontrunner, did I?
