    2 for 20?

    What are we doing?

Going down the court and just jacking up 3s?

That’s six points on 20 shots.

How the hell can you get to this level and be that awful at making shots?

It’s like recruiting a swimmer for our swim program that can only doggy paddle.

I've been questioning why this team shoots so many threes. It's almost an automatic miss during conference play.

Our only offensive set seems to be passing around the horn.

We forget we’ve got one of the better big guys in the college game. Offense has to run through him. We seem to always forget this.

When we pass the ball around the horn,we try the impossible pass, usually intercepted or fumbled and stolen. Vandy had sharp short crisp passing and got wide open threes. We also stare down who we throw it to and don’t get it away quick enough so the defense doesn’t have time to cover. They had their way with us just like Alabama. Sad

How does both Castleton and Jitobah allowed to shoot 3's in the same game. Absolutely no accountability from Golden. He needs to command his players to take better shots. These are wasted opportunities.

A guard that can’t make layups or FTs should not even be on the team. Absolutely insane.

Not high percentage I agree. However, some coaches are strict disciplinarians and some are more laid back to much more laid back. A coach also knows the mental make-up of his/her players and some can take a chewing and some wilt. This team must perform better when more free-flowing and having fun. It is what it is. Coach is in his first year with players he didn't get to recruit so I temper my expectations and criticisms until we've seen a little more.

    And CC.

And Reeves was the only Gator to make any with 2 of 8 shooting.

The Vandy center was channeling Dirk Nowitski with the way he was hitting treys. 3 of 4.

Robbins is ready for the league. He just shot over CC outside and inside. Maybe 10 rebs and some blocks and wore out CC so he could barely shoot ft’s or bunnies. To the end of the game, our team couldn’t shoot a lick due to either exhaustion or mental.

Robbins was too slow to guard anybody.

He can score, but he can't defend at all.

The refs let him hack CC all game, He should have fouled out a lot earlier than he did.

    Sarcasm alert.....
For crying out loud, it's the analytics man!!! CC and Jit are bound to make one soon. Castleton hasn't made one all year. He is due and is the hot shooter every chance he gets. If the numbers show it then it must be right. If Larry Bird at 6'10" could make threes then just imagine how many a 6'11" player ought to make. That's why stats are so important to an analytics guy because numbers can prove anything right if you look hard enough. Skill, schmill, numbers are our friend. We all must become more in tune with the numbers before we can start to comprehend what this team is truly capable of. Missing the NIT.

I was thinking of a response, but 32 pts, 10 rebounds and four blocks, he did what stack needed from him and more. CC had to work to get his but the big guy for Vandy did enough bothering him and blocking our guys coming in that they were in control the last ten minutes. Robbins is someone I wish we had, meat on his bones and can score inside and out. The problem with CC he is just learning how to score from the outside and he isn’t sure of his shot but he keeps trying.
As for the refs, it takes a coach that demands attention on floor to work the refs the whole game. CTG is going to have to learn that he has to get emotional for the fans to get behind him, just watching it go down when we are behind, then complaining isn’t enough. This parallels our teams performance most games, wait till we get behind and then get into it. Just my thoughts watching this year slide down a slope to the NIT at best.
Hoping for changes in minutes for the lost boys on the bench to give some rest to the fatigued starters and maybe we can change the trajectory!
    Go Gators!

The correct question is why do we have a team that can’t make any 3s

    Exactly.

Question should be....why aren't we making our 3's?

We need to shoot AND make more, IMHO......

If a player isn't shooting 30-something percent from three on average they don't need a green light and need to find some other way to contribute. This doesn't mean they shouldn't take a shot, but that they need to be more selective so their abilities are more commensurate with how they play and always in their favor.
