… on this miserable trip, with game-time changes, airline screwups and enough snow and ice to last my calendar year. Oh, yeah and Gators lost a seventh straight at Knoxville. Here’s my game story.

When they moved the time earlier, I was a little tempted to drive up from northern Alabama, then I remembered why they moved the time up and stayed home :)

Thanks for the write up, hope you make it home soon.

Being stuck in Memphis or Nashville wouldn't be bad. Being stuck in Knoxville? You have my sympathy.

I grew up on the Southside of Chicago.

Memphis style dry rubbed ribs are the best. I am smoking some dry rub ribs right now.

That is like putting ketchup on a hot dog. Jeez! You are joking, right?

Just showing my Chicago bona fides with the hot dog thing. We allow kids under ten to put ketchup on a hot dog but they know better after that.

I'm more of a piedmont, vinegar sauce guy.

Ribs are not North Carolina BBQ.

    Piedmont would be whole hog.

Western NC would be more smoked pork shoulder for pulled pork.

BBQ in NC varies county by county and maybe even more granular than that.

They wouldn't think that Texas beef brisket was BBQ.

And then Kansas City ribs are wet and totally different.

Don't get me into what western Illinois BBQ is. Not a good thing.

Yellow mustard is uncivilized unless it’s Dijon or some other type of foreign mustard. If it’s French’s or an equivalent yellow mustard, it’s barbaric to put it on any food whatsoever.

If someone puts yellow mustard on my hamburger, I am ready to risk everything and throw down on the spot.
