Steve Spurrier for OC

Well, this is MY take, even though this is a fun thread...for most of us.



Sometimes, coming back is NOT a good idea.

 

Marine just took the bait from another thread where a poster dared him to start a "Spurrier for OC" thread.

I don't think he was being serious.

 

I have heard from a good source (former player from the late 60's)...
That Spurrier is having some challenges walking effectively, etc.

 

He should have stayed after his last Orange Bowl.

 

I think Steve even agrees with that now. It's a damn shame we ever lost that guy.

 

Yeah his taunting of his own fans was very warrior like.

 

His fans were pretty rough on him. He may not have been great for us, but he was a fighter.

 

Why stop there? Bob Stoops is coaching in the XFL. Bring him back as the DC.

While we're at it, ask Urban if he is interested in being a ST coach.

P.S. Everyone at the office who didn't let me into their Fantasy Football league because I wasn't cool enough, take that.

 

Kids today couldn’t handle being coached by the legend, to fragile.

 

Nor Urban Meyer. With the current state if NIL and transfers, I don't think you can be all that tough on your players. You go hard on someone, they'll just transfer and the new school won't know that they don't want to work. That's why I may have not liked Billy Napier as much five-years ago, but he might be the right kind of coach for this new landscape.

 

We would have lost him after the Swindle no matter what. It's pretty well accepted that the Darnell Dockett game was the final straw. Imagine his reaction and meltdown in Foley's office after the Swindle.

Y'all are too soft for Spurrier. You wanted the boring nice guy, you got him. Enjoy.
