Good result for him to avoid any further incarceration. Trial was set to begin next month.

Steve Bannon pleads guilty in border wall fraud case, avoids jail time

The guilty plea to the felony charge represents Bannon's second criminal conviction after he served prison time for contempt of Congress.

    ***

"Yes, your honor," Bannon replied, before acknowledging he acted to defraud multiple donors.

    ***

The judge imposed the agreed upon sentence of a three-year conditional discharge, during which time Bannon cannot serve as a director of a charity or fundraise for a nonprofit. He is also barred from using data gathered from "We Build the Wall" donors.

It was a NY York State court. If it was a federal court his sorry ass would have already received a pardon from the Orange God.

I'm starting to think that the felon Trump and his collection of felon associates are all just a bunch of criminals......

Amazing that this felon apparently won't be going to jail.

Steve Bannon pleads guilty to defrauding donors in private border wall scheme

Conservative firebrand Steve Bannon pleaded guilty to defrauding donors in a fundraising effort to build a wall along the southern US border in a deal that allowed him to avoid prison.

Bannon pleaded guilty to one state felony count of a scheme to defraud in the first degree and was sentenced to a three-year conditional discharge. He will not serve any time in prison, nor will he be required to pay any restitution under the deal.

It's safe to assume that anyone associated with Trump is either a felon or just hasn't been caught

Bannon was Elon in the first administration. My guess is Elon and Bannon will be in the same spot in 4 years - outside the circle dodging felonies.

    "Defrauding donors."

The dude was literally stealing money from Trumpy rubes who thought they were donating to get a wall built. Who could ever have imagined this? :)

Since we’re talking about presidential crimes, is there a statute of limitations on past presidents taking us to the brink of WWIII - and potential nuclear extinction - for reasons that have nothing to do with our security ?
