I turned off the TV when they were going to halftime when I heard one of the announcers refer to coach prime as “America’s Coach”

Was at the game- my daughter just started attending Boulder. Crazy game, great crowd. They actually seemed to take the loss well all things considered. I guess so many years of losing keeps them a little humble.

 

Well, his team in the second half did play like America's Team did against the 49ers..

 

In theory, they have to quit ringing them when they ball is set. ...in theory.

In actuality, they wantonly disregard that rule as the game progresses and basically ignore it all together if a game is close in the 4th Quarter. The refs don't have the balls to call the penalty. MSU also has the money to cover the up to $50k league imposed fine when it happens, so that matters naught.

I sat around a bunch of UF students when Florida played in Starkville back in 2018, and a whole lot of them brought cowbells. They were ringing them at the wrong times trying to get the refs to throw a flag on MSU and get the 15-yard-penalty. I thought it was hilarious at first but noticed by the fourth quarter it didn't matter because the whole stadium was ringing constantly anyway. And nary a flag was flown that day.

I guess the SEC just doesn't have the heart to take away the only thing that program has of note.

Wow, I quit watching last night & was shocked that Stanford came back to win. The announcers were fawning over them, I hate that sort of bandwagon cheering. Colorado has barely won most of its games and may end up with a losing record. When you add in the locker room fights, this doesn't seem to be a program to emulate like a lot of people wanted earlier in the year.

 

Colorado schedule gets tougher from here. They play 4 ranked teams in their last 5 games. This was a big loss, gonna have to upset somebody to make a bowl game now.

I'm still impressed he took a 1-11 team, did his weird style of rebuilding and is at 4-3 now. But we'll see where they stand in a couple years. I don't pay enough attention to pac12 football to know SOS, rosters, stuff like that though so maybe it's not as impressive as it seems.
