But I do get a kick out of Fox, looking through social media to find a Republican who called Bowman a liar and putting it in the headline.

 

It just goes to show you there are nut extremists in both parties. I don’t know why some like to pretend it’s exclusive to one party. The Democrats are doing the right thing though, in this case. At the end of the day, political views should generally not be suppressed in a democracy. 1st amendment protections should not be ignored.

 

Can you image how awful it would be to live in a district that elected that guy? What a hellhole it would be.

 

Republicans love their own liars and there are many with all their heart but one democrat pulls a Trump ie lie about something that is on video and they get all enraged. It must be convenient if not inspiring.

Surprising since one side is usually pretty quick to call it out and condemn it..

 

Fire alarms are for fires. If this were a GOP member we’d be discussing whether the tape was fake, altered, or somehow justifying it. Sounds like he plead to a misdemeanor. Voters can decide if they care.

Pleads down to a misdemeanor before the video evidence of his lie and his attempt to interfere with the vote comes out. And in this thread we get mostly whataboutisms..
I am pretty sure interference of the democratic process is a big deal- yes? Especially when an elected official is doing it and not just some slob from the streets.

Should any of that be here River? Or should maybe we be able to call the man that tried to interfere with our government and the voting process by pulling a fire alarm and then lying about it without referring to the wrongs of the other team.

Let’s all be honest here.. the left doesn’t want to talk about this. They don’t want to admit that this was a deliberate attempt to subvert the government in its role to govern. They do t want to talk about the fact he flat lied about why he pulled it so.. we get the deflections.. well the hop has this or the gop does that or the gop would have been worse..
Doea any of that help the discussion? Shouldn’t the left be holding Bowman accountable for his actions and his words instead of deflecting?

Can you explain to me how the Rep. thought that pulling a fire alarm in another building would prevent the vote on a bill and why he wanted to prevent the vote for a bill that he voted for?
