Too early for me to guess, but I do think we will see a huge improvement on the defensive side of the ball.
Offensive and defensive coordinators. Special teams coach. Clock management. U Know, the areas of our team that need the most improvement.
Hope the reports on the freshmen and the transfers is positive. Obviously improvement is needed literally at every level and every aspect. Hoping year 3 is the charm. UF is on a historicaly UGLY 3 year run. Time to turn it around!
Everybody got to patch holes with portal transfers at an unprecedented level, so yes everybody got better in a way they didn't in previous years.
I like the setup. They’ve been going hard for two months with S&C. Now they’re transitioning into spring practice. They all get a nine day break, like a bye week in the season. They got a preview of the spring routine and should all be fresh and ready to go! This is especially beneficial for the first year players and new Gators, which there are a lot of. Also, the thirteen continuous practices are more than enough. From what I understand, for the thirteen sessions, they have eight installs, three scrimmages and two bonus practices.
They had the opportunity too....we'll see next season whether they did or not. UF didn't exactly patch its porous Defensive unit with upgrades last season.
lol what? They added a stud starter at every level….Slackman/howard/turner. Plus a few other pieces that will def see snaps. How is that not adding impact players???
I'm thinking he meant last year not this past off season. For now it looks markedly better than our effort on the defensive side in the portal those first two seasons.
Yes, I was referring to the Defensive portal transfers signed prior to the 2023 season, not this past off-season.
Seems like we have several projected starters, even portal kids, that are injured or recovering from injuries and unable to participate fully in Spring practice. Could impact their S&C work as well.
I hope Justice Boone makes it back to 100%. I recall the reports about him last year were very positive until the injury.
