If Haley comes within 25 points of Trump it will be surprising. That being said and it's probably symptomatic of his narcissistic personality disorder Trump has an overwhelming need to demean his political opponents and that includes fabricating stories out of whole cloth like the idea that the DOJ has multiple reasons to go after Nikki Haley. It's also an indirect albeit obvious narrative that they're targeting Trump alone among presidential candidates.

 

I’d trust Trump’s commentary on Nikki for about as far as she can throw him.

Not going to address Democrats one way or the other but when Trump tries to appeal to Black voters it's absurdly humorous. If I recall at one of his MAGA rallies back in 2016 he referred to a Black supporter as "my African American". I also recall back in 2016 when his white supporters at a MAGA rally mistakenly physically attacked a Black supporter (apparently they thought that the guy was a heckler) Trump egged them on.

good point. I so wish either he or Biden would debate anyone besides each other. For Dear Leader, it’s not 2016 anymore. He’s not at that level of mental acuity to put it mildly. And Nikki showed some steel in prior debates, she would clock him. It would be gold to see him called out to his face, especially a woman. This is stated without intended hyperbole - he might start talking about her in relation to menstrual cycles (or if she can, etc). Dear Leader could only try to blow up the debate by raving & insulting. But alas, there is only Biden to go face to face with him. And yes, Biden would be bad against anyone besides Trump. Argh! this is a frustrating race for potus.

What explains thats state’s degree of stupid people? Mississippi and Bama and Arkansas I get. But SC is next to a purple state borders another emerging purple state and is a Ho skip and a jump from Virginia known for smart people.

My reasonable working theory.

1) water poisoning. By what manner is a WAG. Could be due to lead poisoning, but my perusal favorite is due to a US military accident. Either a biological agent or an engineered virus was released. The missing nuke leaking radiation is not sufficient explanation.

Even if Trump was convicted, removed from the ballot or otherwise dropped out, those voters will stay home before they vote for Haley. Haley isn't getting the MAGA vote. Heck most of Haley's own voters wouldn't vote for Haley in the general because they are Democrats. They would go right back to Biden in the general. Haley voters are only voting for Haley as an anti-Trump protest vote.

The Establishment RINO Republicans need to get it through their thick skulls. Their day is over. An Establishment RINO Republican will never win the Republican nomination again.

Even if Trump was removed or dropped out, for whatever reason, Haley wouldn't be the nominee. You would see several candidates immediately get back in the race. DeSantis would absolutely get back in the race. DeSantis dropped out sooner than Haley but beat Haley in Iowa and would be able to get more of the MAGA vote. I don't think Scott would get back in as he's clearly angling for the Vice President spot under Trump. I think you could see Christie and even Pence get back in. It's would be utter chaos.

 

Just further confirms that Trump owns the gop.

 

As far as I'm concerned the most significant indicator that the Republican Party has become a cult isn't just Trump's margin of victory but the fact that only 32% believe that Biden legitimately won the 2020 election. The con artist in chief really has them drinking the Trump kool-aid.
