He's considered one of the best SEC RBs, so absolutely yes we should be interested.

I imagine this one will require a fairly hefty check.

Why would he transfer? I thought he was the central point of their offense.

And probably a direct result to all the healthy checks OM distributed for all of his new teammates!

Like crusher said, it’s quite possible that he doesn’t like how much more the players coming in after him are getting. I also thought he was more a rb1b or rb2, but didn’t follow ole miss that closely.

You're thinking of last year when he split time a bit. He was the bell-cow for Ole Miss in 2023 and the 2nd best RB in the SEC.

We need the insurance industry to run actuarial tables and standards for NIL payouts, if someone were to ask me that is.

Yes, and instead of measuring return by the dollar, you measure it by # wins!

Good rb, but not worth it. There are other positions of need more worthy for UF IMO.

Yes. I believe we are projected to have 6 RBs on the roster for next season even without Etienne. Unless we're planning on cutting or ushering someone out, we have much bigger holes elsewhere.

Gators should probably be looking at OL, Edge, or Safety IMO. I only don't say LB and DL because those were points of emphasis for this recruiting class anyways.

This whole NIL thing defies all logic, common sense, and normal business practice. Watch the podcast with Billy Donovan, Udonis Haslem, and Mike Miller. They discuss this.

If a player goes to the NFL, he signs a contract with detailed and specific language. He can't just take a big upfront payment, and then leave next year to get another big upfront payment. His contract will prohibit such nonsense.

NIL has no rules. A kid can gouge one school for a million, and leave next year for another million somewhere else.

No sane business would operate this way.

But we should feel sorry for these poor, poor players who have been so taken advantage of!!! Pobrecitos!!!
