Napier IS the answer. He will have plenty of money as soon as UF fires him. We just have to convince him to feel guilty enough to give back to the university that gave him so much, and then gave him $26 million more.
Who cares? Most of us do.. But then we have to read Gator fans bemoaning our fate..and that is even more painful. During the off season we walk into emergency rooms and tell all those there that they are probably not going to make it. Keeps us tuned up.
I just want to know if SOS was wearing those new Alligator Boots at the game, like he is flashing around to Tebow in the ESPN Heisman House Commercials?
If you were born in 1896, and became a Gator fan at 10 (1906) and lived to be 88 (1984) that would have been SEC title #1, which of course, was negated for Galen giving a player 20 bucks for his kids milk formula. So don't bemoan your suffering, many Gator generations had it much, much worse than 15 years, you whipper snappers need a history lesson!
Don't need preaching here, I became a Gator in 1969. Watching the depths to which we have dropped since 2009 has been depressing. Seems like there is still no light at the end of the tunnel. Saban's comments about how it's something more than just coaching at Florida is starting to make a lot of sense. I as I'm sure many others would like to see a legitimate competitor on the field. Don't need preaching!
Awww I was just funning with you Cad. I SERIOUSLY understand your frustration. We became Gator fans around the same time btw, I was 10 at the time. Times are tough my friend. UF sports are my "escape" from reality and lately Gator FOOTBALL is almost as bad as the real world! Anyway, I hope it gets better, it is rather odd our once proud program is sitting in the bottom 1/4 of the SEC. Well I've always said football is cyclical, even for the Bama's, Oklahoma's, Notre Dame's, Ohio States, Michigans and S Cal's of the world. I just thought the cycle would be on the rise by now, and quite the opposite has happened. Oh well, "next year" our old mantra from the 70's, beacons.
I was 10 too in '69. Maybe we went to the same grade school? LOL Gator football is my escape as well. Yeah, I thought things would have changed by now. Keep scratching my head trying to figure out why it seems we are always the ones struggling.
Crestview High Class of 77. (NW Florida) Cad - Check this out from Gators Breakdown. IMO a pretty good explaination of the situation with UF under Napier -, past, present, and future. Will Miles is in the discussion. I respect David and Will's opinions on things.
I know Crestview High. My Sister made good friends with a Grad from '81. I Graduated Father Lopez High, Daytona Beach '77. Thanks for the vid!
excellent point - mortgage the future, because we have to win now, FSU is showing this model isn't sustainable. Bad game day coach and bad recruiting annually sets up for a recipe for disaster.
Roll of the dice for sure, it's disheartning CBN is now forced into this situation. Myself and most of Gator Nation was hopeful recruiting would have seen a big step forward since his hire, but that just hasn't been the case. Decent, yes, but as compared to the SEC, middle of the pack at best and this year looks catastrophic.
