Persimmon Brewery in the Orlando area has a new Belgian Blonde and they are known for the Beach Hippy beer - only brewed in Deland Fl where the water is off 1/2 of 1% from Switzerland's water purity. Goooooood stuff!

Could also be because they're marketing to the 18-34-year old demographic. It might seem insane to MAGA nation probably not to the corporations' marketing executives. Just a guess.

Beach Hippy is a very nice IPA.That’s what I now drink along with my Hi-Lo IPA from Cigar City. Doc says lower the alcohol intake.

The Daytona Dirty Blonde Ale is good, too. Lower alcohol content, good afternoon beer.

6 billion has been wiped off of their market cap in the last 10 days.
I read a few articles on this. One was mentioning how they wanted to expand their audience, as theirs is older, which makes sense. Another was talking about how companies are pandering to some company that does diversity scoring in advertising. Then I looked up that VP apparently she went to Groton prep in Mass and then Harvard. So a young female, NE Ivy leaguer. She is the exact opposite of their core audience in just about every way. Object lesson in hiring people who understand who you are catering to and not just someone with a good pedigree, however capable they may be.

Anyone on TWFSG drink Bud Light? I haven't consumed one of the original (non-craft) AnnBusch products in at least a decade.

Not sure they are suffering that much. Presume you are relying on this piece Bud Light's parent company Anheuser-Busch InBev has lost more than $6 BILLION in market cap | Daily Mail Online

They are cherry picking a high point using the "trading at $66". A quick look shows that it was trading around $45 dollars in November, was only at $59.91 on St. Patrick's Day, then quickly jumped up to around $66, dropped to $63, now at $64.29, which would be the highest amount in 6 months but for that $66 bump.

They may also seek to reaching out to a younger generation, which requires marketing like this. I'm sure they don't want to lose their traditional base, but future growth is limited and there will be decline if they don't expand their appeal

I did read that article, but confirmed it someplace else. As of COB yesterday it was down 4.9 percent in the last five days, which roughly coincides with the controversy, and far outpaced the overall market downside.
Anheuser-Busch down $5B in value amid Dylan Mulvaney Bud Light controversy

The question is whether the hit is temporary or long lasting, we will see. I have seen anecdotal reports from bars and distributors in the south that volume is way down. But we will see if that’s real next week when Budweiser announces sales. And again whether it stays that way.

I can't tell if Mulvaney is meant to be a he or a she from a search, because there are both masculine and feminine pics up. I wouldn't even feel obligated to use the "correct" pronoun unless I were at work.

But he/she is an entertainer. Crossdresser entertainers have always been a thing with popularity outside the LGBTQ community. I don't even consider it virtue signalling if this person has a large following.

I don't drink any longer, let alone Bud Light. But corporations have long term perspectives. I don't think anyone would care if Elton John or Neil Patrick Harris were paid spokes persons for Bud Light. I'm sure it is a calculated move.
