Literally nobody here has said Thomas should be competing against women. Most have said the govt shouldn't be involved, let the sport decide. But they've got nothing else to talk about so it's more LGBT 24/7 big gov talk. Slaying massive windmills and applauding each other

Yes, that’s it. Not that all of you said this was a “nothing burger” that would be short lived. You guys are just winners. All the time.

Yes there was. Those posters were for Thomas because the ncaa let it happen. There were some on the left who agreed she shouldn’t have been allowed but it’s too few. Hell, we have the far leftist usatoday calling out Sam Ponder for having the audacity to want only women competing in sports. This “columnist” is bay shit crazy thinking being for women’s only competition means you are a bigot. Just next level stupid.

Check out this article from USA TODAY:

What ESPN's Sam Ponder calls 'fairness' is plain old bigotry

ESPN's Sam Ponder uses 'fairness' to justify bigotry toward trans women

Looks like the Bud Light boycott has done real damage to the brand. But most of the benefit has gone to Modelo, which I guess means they hate gays more than Mexicans. And Modelo is owned by the same corporate parent as Bud Light

After more than two decades as America’s bestselling beer, Bud Light has slipped into second place.

Modelo Especial, a Mexican lager, overtook Bud Light in U.S. retail dollar sales in the month ending June 3, according to Nielsen data analyzed by Bump Williams Consulting. Modelo controlled 8.4% of U.S. grocery, convenience and liquor store sales; Bud Light fell to 7.3%.

Grupo Modelo, the Mexican brewer, is owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev, the same parent company of Bud Light.

It’s a milestone in Bud Light’s monthslong sales decline since early April, when critics who were angered by the brewer sending a commemorative can to transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney vowed to boycott the brand. Bud Light has also faced backlash from Mulvaney’s fans, who think the brand didn’t do enough to support her.

That's the equivalent of boycotting Chevy and buying GMC instead

You beat me to it. Nothing more to add except we need more Jimmy Buffett and less Kid Rock in this country.

I'd venture this has more to do with an increase in Mexican immigrants buying power than anything. I don't think folks are switching from Bud Light to Modelo. We do garbage service at a few mobile home parks that are mostly Mexican folks and they almost exclusively drink SHIT LOADS of Modelo.

Cinco de Mayo may have increased the Modelo sales during that period.

Yuengling is the only major American owned brewery in the US. I switched to them a while back.

Marketing executives probably learned one lesson from the Bud Light fiasco. Be careful, be very careful about triggering the easily alienated culturally conservative snowflakes of MAGA nation. Remember Dylan Mulvaney was used to promote Bud Light in a single Instagram post. When it comes to being easily triggered the woke lefties do not hold a candle to culturally conservative righties.

yeah, the Mexicans and Central & South Americans around here love Modelo. There’s a 7-11 down the street that puts out tons of cases of Modelo (beyond their normal stock) every Thursday evening and gets cleaned out by the blue collar immigrant workers by Friday evening. I’m with them - I’ll drink Modelo over Bud Light any day.

There's so many good craft lagers and pilsners now if that's your style. A little more expensive, but taste a lot better imo (not that yuengling is terrible.) Drink Local.

Absolutely agree on the last line. Although if I'm going for cheap Mexican beer its Tecate for me.

I mean, that was the purpose. Scare executives of other companies not to do what Bud Light did.

Wonder what ever happened to all the hoppy lagers that were en vogue several years ago? Summer of 2017 was lousy with them. There were a bunch of those that I liked
