The concerning issue is that he and a ton of other top guys did the same.

Go look and see if a class ever dropped like this in the last 3 weeks. I don’t ever recall one doing it unless the HBC got canned.

The rub in Mullen is even thought his classes were okay too many guys didn’t pan out. The same tread is with Napier right now because many are leaving out right after a year or two… Doesn’t that concern you?

Sad state of affairs. Hopefully we can find the DJ Lagways of the world that wants to fight the good fight.

You also never experienced this new NIL space where it’s a free for all with money thrown at players. This year it’s Auburn and Texas. Last year it was Miami and the year before it was TAMU. These teams will learn quickly that it doesn’t pay to overpay.

Dude, relax. UGA lost their top QB recruit. Is the sky falling in Athens? It’s the new NIL environment and we are paying for what we want. DJ and LJ are getting paid, let’s be real.

The sky isn’t falling in Athens because they lost one game in 3 years, have a stacked roster, don’t have starter after starter leaving have a coach that’s knows what he is doing and didn’t just lose 5 straight.
Sadly to try to compare the two programs is just silly.

Very true. But did any team get gutted like we did? Or even close? Losing 1 or 2 is expected in this environment. But losing a full 3rd of our commits in the month prior? There's something systemically wrong in order for that to happen. It wasn't a random occurrence.

Just saying. Even with that they lost their top ranked QB to Nebraska. Not comparing the two programs, just making the case for the current environment and who we ended up with. We got our QB1. You’re silly.

I’m not worried about on paper stuff. Guys commit verbally, and it’s as good as that. Look at our class. Do you think given where are at (middle of the road SEC) that we should have a high as a class as we have? This is the best class we’ve had in over a decade (Jeff Driskel’s class) at the most crucial positions IMO.

It’s not Mullen’s fault. Never was and certainly isn’t 3 years later.

100% spot on. Some hate to hear it but 11-14 is real and so are all the other things that go with it.

Agree to disagree. You cite one player lol. Mullen left nothing. He didn't follow through on anything he said he would. Your boy Mullen didn't even develop AR and threw him in against Georgia for his first start. Petty move.

I guess Mullen didn't "watch the throw" and follow through...

Well said and Napier not being as concerned with losses in year 1 was and still is the problem. That mentality is a major concern. The same way we want dogs as players, we should want dogs as coaches.

I think we can withstand Etienne leaving but losing guys that Billy recruited so quickly is concerning.

So many say it’s about NIL but kids want to win.

The comedy in the Mullen fanboys claiming people are making excuses for Napier....

Napier supporters generally see reasons for concern. They hyperbole is strong for those that support the abject quitter Mullen was.

Take a step back from looking at UF and check what’s going on at every other school in the country. It’s happening everywhere, so no, it doesn’t concern me. What concerns me is supporting the guys who signed and choose to stay.
