LSU unfortunately. But the Bag got ridiculous from what I am hearing. So good luck with that LSU.

The bag will be pulled back next year when the buyout is needed for Kelly.

TBH, there's just no guarantee that a top HS talent makes it to the NFL for so many reasons. So, if one school offers me 100k, another 200k, you know what I'm taking and that's only because 4 seasons x the 100k means I leave that school with most of a house paid for. I do realize kids don't think that way.

But the NIL money is not guaranteed, true? He might stay at a school 4 years but there must be stipulations so that if a player gets buried, the NIL will rescind or change the NIL payout. Seems like that's the way it would be as some "star" prospects sink once at the next level.

If you ink a four year deal and stay for four years, you should get what you were promised. The contracts are not allowed to be performance based, so you shouldn't be docked for sitting on the bench.

If I were cutting deals, they would be one year, and we can talk again at the end of the season. I am not though, and whoever is cutting the deals is welcome to structure their deals however they'd like. Giving them a four year deal doesn't lock the recruit down for four years, it locks the guy cutting the checks down.

He's dead to me. Dead to us all, until next season when he's homesick, hates the cajun culture, and wants to be closer to home.

Looks like they'll slip to somewhere around #28.

Thomas would have been a very good talent to have at Florida but in the 2024 class, the Gators already have the #1 rated IOL on the team, Jason Zandamela.

    https://247sports.com/player/jason-zandamela-46129563/

Zandamela (who transferred from Southern Cal shortly after the Spring ended) was also rated as the 9th best player from the state of Florida in 2024 behind notable players like Jeremiah Smith, LJ McCray among others:

Florida also has some young promising talent at the guard positions:
    LG: Knijeah Harris, So
    RG: Bryce Lovett, rsFr

Myself and a few others have pointed out that IOL was just not a big need in the class. This one bothered me the least. Ffrench & Dallas were the ones that hurt the most. Especially with a QB like DJ …BUT it’s not like Tx or OR don’t have a QB that can deliver the ball. And both playoff teams.

We have to match what we did last year in the portal at WR IMO.

True Fr., late enrollen to UF, so not in the two deep.

We may hear something from him during bowl practice. If not, definately in the spring.

And keeping McCloud was a bigger win also. He is underrated and may have to be a rotational player depending on what we find in the portal, which is usually not good at DT.
