Solar and battery storage make up 81% of new power capacity this year

    1. I am all for nuclear, but we have yet to find a way to build nuclear facilities cheaply, plus the build time is pretty lengthy.

    2. Renewables plus battery storage is making wind and solar more dependable

    3. At the risk of being a broken record, the issue isn’t lack of supply of renewable energy. We could double our total energy supply fairly quickly just with renewables. The limiting factor is our grid capacity and inflexibility.

    The decentralization of the power from renewable energy is both good and bad at the same time, but I do like all forms of energy. The more the better for our country. It's bad when you have to build new transmission lines to move the electricity from one place to another, but it good in that it's a local energy and less prone to black-outs that might effect the national electrical grid.
