I love that our players don't need Loves money.

There's usually a Pilot/Flying J across the street that is just as convenient. May I recommend spending your money there until our sport is no longer being undermined.

 

I've never even thought about that till now lol.

 

Johnny - I have been boycotting Loves for the past year ever since Loves/Gasso bought Maxwell. I know it is a small amount, but at least none of my gas or Diet Coke money goes to help them and their sham "recruiting".

Ni’Jaree is an academic All American. So, OU might be out.

As I wrote about 2 weeks ago, Ni'Jaree wanted to come to UF. My guess is that she has not pulled the chain yet as she is hoping UF can up their offer some. I can tell you there is NO WAY CTW will pay $250K. If she looks long term not short, she can probably get Skylar money which CTW has budgeted for with what he asked for in his NIL fund which we have now met per my source at Florida Victorious. We can hope, but I still say screw Loves, no matter what.

 

Someone advise her to take their money and then head to UF, it's anything goes out there, what are they gonna do about it?

 

For those not in the know, is there a ball park (pun intended) estimate for what Skyler money is?

 

Just last year those that were supposedly “in the know” stated that our softball team received an equal split of available softball NIL funds, and that was at Walton’s direction.

 

The only time I stop at Loves is when I am on the road and I need to urinate.

 

The estimate CTW gave was $40K. Last year and the year before the money was split equally. Those days are now (unfortunately in a way) over. All the players will get some money, just not an equal share.

 

What was the amount that was equally split?

 

If $250,000 is what OU offered, I can't see Canady ending up with UF unless she simply cannot get her major at OU. We'll see soon enough.

 

200k was the number being touted here in August of last year, which is way less than 40k per player, and I’m not sure why it’s now being suggested that Skylar received a larger share unless the info at that time was wrong.

 

$40,000 was an estimate only of what Skylar might have been worth in the current environment.

 

So “Skylar money” was meant to imply an assumption of what she may have been worth, not her share?

 

Maybe UF softball “pitching coaching carousel controversy ” issue allowed OU to push the doubts buttons on Ni'Jaree about her choice coming to UF because of instability surrounding our pitching coach position. CTW was able to secure the position by hiring a proven pitching coach with an outstanding reputation of developing championship quality pitchers. This may have Canady reconsidering her decision as to where to go. Coming to Florida now has several super attributes to consider. A university an outstanding academic reputation, a softball programming with a winning tradition, a pitching coach with a great reputation, and an outstanding team of woman who are exceptional in character. If you her, where would you go?
