Did anybody else pick up on this? The seventh ranked player in Softball America’s 2024 Transfer Portal Player Ranking List, Lindsey Grein, a RHP from Virginia Tech, is showing interest in Oregon and Florida.

 

Her numbers aren't bad. Second most innings on the staff. Doesn't look like a lock down pitcher but looks pretty competent. Going to be a junior. Struck out 134 in about 108 innings with walks a little high but not horrible. Guessing we would be happy to take her with nothing to lose but not clear if we would be willing to spend the farm to get her.

 

Well at least someone is showing interest. Bottomline, CTW will access her. I don’t want her here unless she fits the culture. I’m confident he’ll make the right choice.

 

Cera Blanchard from SE Louisiana is in the portal. Will be a grad student. 18-3 this year and excellent numbers across the board. I would think this is someone we need to go after and hard.

 

Abby Dayton from Utah is in the portal. Very good ex-Batbuster who will be a junior. Hit .431 for Utah this year. Good player but I doubt we go after another outfielder.

 

Has OU bought anybody yet?

 

They will. Loves truck stops is in overdrive. Hope they don’t overheat lol.

 

Baylor pitcher, RyLee Crandall, is in the portal. She is the one who beat us in the second game going the distance on a 5 hit and 2 run game. On the other hand, we knocked her out after 1.1 innings in the third game.

 

She is currently ranked No. 3 on the Softball American Top Fifty Transfer Portal Rankings for what it is worth.

 

Yeah - I wouldn't mind adding her to the roster.

Avery Hodge from OU is expected to enter the portal also.

 

She plays SS DOEN'T SHE? She might be a good pick up.
