Jocey may supplant my all time favorite - Aubrey Monroe! I sure am glad I told her parents back in CA that I would take her over any other catcher in college. They said do you know who catches for Oklahoma? I said yes, and I would still take Jocey in a heartbeat. At the WCWS, I sat next to them and I said do you remember what I said in CA? I have now been proven correct. They had the largest smiles that I have seen in a long time!!!
I don't know if will make a difference but Canady is being bombarded with Gator influence in OKC. She is playing with Skylar and Jocey and Tim and Amanda are there, playing for the prime team, and also prepping for their upcoming tournament in Italy. Edit: Townsen Thomas is also there, I think, with the U-18 team. Edit again: Thomas is there, wearing #1 and playing center field and leading off. She went 0-3 with a strike out yesterday.
I have said this before but it should be repeated. Her parents have told people that Jocey has "never been happier in her life playing softball."
So, the Erickson Canady bond is a Team USA catcher and pitcher thing? Or, thinking outside the box, could Canady also be LDS? Sometimes, it's less obvious why friendships develop. I'm also a big believer in kismet.
Yeah not sure, which was why I had to line about no comment. But their other posts seem to be pretty standard and it doesn't look like the typical attention seeker. Guess we will see. Just thought it interesting.
