I don’t think the good person vs wins is an either/or BUT I think there’s something to this. There’s a good chance CBN Is concerned way more with quality human and so is UAA …. Most fans don’t care if the QB name is Shitler as long as he’s winning games and throwing for 300. Big disconnect If that’s the case
No coach whose team loses more games than they win is gonna be able to develop anybody into anything - because they'll be gone. I'm willing to bet big that, if 2024 is another losing season and/or money starts drying up, the UAA will lose some of those altruistic principles and CBN will lose his job.
We'll see. Hopefully, the point will be moot because UF doesn't have another losing season next year.
That went out the window for me when these kids decided they wanted to be treated like professional athletes and ditch their teams after taking NIL money from fans
How come so many other schools are hosting all of their recruits and possible transfers in, and we are not? We have 3 players committed to us that are visiting other schools for their final weekend before the dead period, then signing day. Am I missing something here? We should have every single recruit on campus this weekend and then some... This should be a BBQ weekend for our 2024 recruits and their families.
Interesting. I didn't know this was a thing. Of course the school wouldn't be able to pay the way if the commit had already taken an official. Maybe they could use some of their NIL money to make the trip.
Yesteryear’s thinking the $$$ for OVs and unofficials doesn’t matter anymore. Recruits can only have one OV per school, but unofficials are entirely unrestricted and anybody other than the school can pay for it.
No, that is when the search for a new AD begins. And when we sign one, THAT will be the time the search for a new HC begins.
Um, nothing wrong with your take, just that it needs context. Let me help: Everything is going according to plan. Nothing to worry about. Go home and feel blessed...
There is really only one answer: We shall see. And right now, the optics look less-than-ideal. His answer to the question(s) about the lack of skill in special teams is pretty damning.
I take a bit different line: this isn't a unicorns and rainbows business. It is damn tough. And the salaries that they make at this level says it is. Napier and anyone else can downsize to Div 2 or less. It may be more that flavor there.
