Better than the third world dictators preferred by the right: Trump or DeSantis.

So little problems in Florida, dems are complaining about a bill designed to keep unruly groups of people from threatening individuals homes.
The only problem I see with this bill is it’s too broad.
the Supreme Court has upheld protesting and picketing bans in residential neighborhoods.

Chilling and also probably unconstitutional. The government is now in charge of acceptable ideology.
    • Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) signed HB 233 Tuesday.
    • The legislation will require public universities to survey students and staff annually about their beliefs to assess “viewpoint diversity” on campuses.
    • The bill does not specifically say what will be done with survey results, but DeSantis suggested budget cuts could be imminent if universities and colleges are found to be “indoctrinating” students.
    • We do not want them as basically hotbeds for stale ideology,” he said.

Florida schools ordered to disobey federal LGBTQ protections

The DeSantis administration has launched another missile in the war against what the governor calls "woke gender ideology.”

What's happening: Last week, Florida education commissioner Manny Diaz told school districts to ignore federal guidelines aimed at protecting students and teachers from discrimination because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

    • Diaz said the Biden administration's anti-discrimination language is not binding law and that following the guidelines could violate state law.

If this means keeping young kids from being taught about sexual orientation in school then that's great. Vast majority of parents support that.

"Johnny, this is your teacher, Mrs. Smith. I just wanted to let you know that I am not allowed to have a photo of my wife on my desk, and you are not allowed to tell anyone that you have 2 daddies."

    "But why, Mrs. Smith."

"So we don't get arrested, Johnny."

I doubt that it will work out in November, but that is no laughing matter. As for sane people, you might want to take a good look in the mirror. None of this stuff had been going on in school. This legislation is contrived to dupe people and to get their political support. My example clearly is on point. Gay teachers in some school districts in Glorida have already been directed to not display family photos on their desks. These teachers also are going to be afraid to explain to kids when the situation I described arises that some children have a mother and a father, some have two mothers, etc. It’s going to make life tougher for a lot of children.

Didn' t you get the memo from Pelosi. The word mother is being shit-canned because of non sensitivity to gender identity. The appropriate words would be 2 parents So as all of you complain about Desantis, the house dems are spending their time revising common language in their rules

Sorry, Pelosi: Eliminating official use of ‘mother’ isn’t inclusive — it’s waging war on women

So you don't want to have a rational conversation. Got it. I guess that's the way to go when you have no answer. Smooth move.

LOL. Big Gov? What a joke. Keep reaching. Keeping young kids from being taught about sexual identity isn't "big gov", it's called being a caring person.
