I think America is the greatest country in the world, a beacon of hope for immigrants from all over the world. I think I'm among the 1% of luckiest people in the world, just for being born here. I just happen to also think that I shouldn't give two craps about what the posters of Too Hot have to think about me or the politicians I like.

Well you got me, I have gone off topic because several posters have found my character to be a more pressing issue than that of this thread, so yeah... I went off-topic and said that he believes this country oppresses "minorities," which is a more accurate statement as far as his beliefs than "oppresses immigrants."

 

Then why so invested in your persecution (i.e. SELF OWN)? Any of the crap you projected on me is crap.

Yes, I disagree. 90% of the posters on here do not hate you. Personally speaking, politics is near the bottom of the list of considerations for liking/disliking people. Maybe that's just me, but I think more on here would agree than you might think. I and others might "hate" your politics, but might enjoy having a good conversation about music, sports, family, etc. over a quality beverage.

 

I've been trying to figure this story out. I had assumed that the Venezuelan immigrants had been sent to Florida and DeSantis then had them flown up to MA. But from what I can tell, DeSantis sent them from Texas to MA. It sounds like there was a woman named Perla who recruited them in San Antonio to get on a plane bound for MA. Is this true? Why would DeSantis fly immigrants from TX to MA using FL tax dollars?

Simple, Desantis trying to outdo Abbott as to who can be the biggest jerk and wasting taxpayers dollars to do it. Both trying to position for 2024 on the backs of immigrants.

 

That's just hard to believe. If they were already in Florida it would be a dick move but at least it would make some sort of sense in a mean-spirited-right-wing-political-stunt sort of a way. But to spend Floridians' money flying them from TX to MA? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. People actually want this guy to be president?

 

Maybe hard to believe at one time but not these days. Just par for the course among trump disciples. I heard he got the Nantucket idea from good old Tucker.
