Yes. She railed about how the Texas governor was wrong and then turned around and did the same thing. 2 wrongs don't make a right

This is what happens when "leaders" become so detached from reality and humanity that they will do anything for power. Disgusting

This is what good people do when they see asylum seekers in need of help:

How is this the same? They are being shown hospitality in Illinois, not sent away as a sign of repulsive stigmatic reflection.

Is this supposed to convey that having Latino people in a hotel near you is disturbing? Are they supposed to be disease vectors?

Wealthy Republicans cannot possibly be offended by undocumented Latinos near them acting as servants - they do that all the time, to save money. Are they offended that these human beings are being treated as hotel guests rather than cleaning staff? Is that too disturbing to view?

Repulsive. How can anyone defend this man and his behavior? Even if you agree with his policies, how can you in good conscience vote for someone who is this devoid of humanity? But hey, he kept Florida open and helped kill tons of Floridians unnecessarily with his anti science nonsense because “Freedumb” or something.

You have to be really dumb to buy it. But then, the GOP was successful in Florida by running on ads that they would not allow socialism in the US and the Dems were socialists.

Except when they donate to the GOP. Then they have free speech to spend their money.

The aliens who present at the border do not enter illegally. They are only “illegal” when bigots want to demean them. You can tell In these threads— no matter how many times you tell some people that these aliens are not illegal— they go on calling them that anyway. It reflects a state of mind about the aliens.

Venezuelans have TPS. So, they are not illegal. Of course, there is a Venezuelan community in South Florida, where these immigrants would be easily absorbed. Many powerless because they can’t vote. The Biden Administration is showing weakness by not stepping in and stopping these states from making federal immigration policy. And, I would welcome the lawsuits by these kidnapped people. The only reason for this is to appeal to anti-immigrant bigots. This is the best example— Venezuelans are clearly here legally. So, when Rubio, Scott and South Florida reps tout our stand for freedom in Venezuela, those voters they appeal to should take note.

They have to be somewhere in Illinois. Better in a good neighborhood than some of the tough neighborhoods in Chicago.

She arranged for transport to move migrants from her jurisdiction to a jd controlled by the political opposition with no advance warning to the authorities in that jd. That is the exact thing that she was criticizing the TX governor of doing

I don’t blame border states for grand standing. Biden has not put forth any immigration reform or really addressed the security concerns. He’s leaving the narrative to the republicans. Im not sure why.

Nothing but culture war BS from DeSantis. That's all he's got. Pathetic.

I heard on NPR that in addition to these people not knowing where they were when they arrived, they were *lied to*. They were lured onto the buses by being told they were going to Boston and it would be easy for them to get jobs in Boston. Apparently these migrants were originally taken in Texas, moved from TX to FL, then sent from FL up to Martha’s Vinyard.

It all sounds a bit like… human trafficking. Pretty sick what these politicians are doing. These are people, not props.

Pandering to the base for votes all the while destroying lives. I’m sure we can expect a few “come on man’s” from his cult here shortly for speaking the truth.

I actually think spreading the burden of immigration around the country has some merit to it as policy. But this is not policy. It’s a stunt. Could even be criminal given the deception involved in luring the people onto the buses - these people are victims of Republican corruption. Here’s the thing we can be sure of (the dead giveaway that it’s a stunt): if Biden or the feds we’re doing the busing these yah00’s would be 100% opposed and sending their nutters out to protest the arrival of the buses.

Was just in Martha's Vineyard for a short vacay and that place has a lot of foreign workers. J1 visas from eastern european countries working the t shirt shops like in Key West.

Nobody has mentioned yet the 12mil budget for this relocation stunt? As the state struggles with a teacher shortage over pay issues. Fiscal Conservative, small gov DeSantis strikes again.
