    https://www.wdwmagic.com/other/walt...ney-may-impact-future-spending-in-florida.htm

Speaking during opening comments at today's quarterly earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Iger sent a subtle but powerful message to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Referring to previously announced plans to spend more than $17 billion at Walt Disney World in Florida over the next 10 years, Iger said, "We have a number of other growth and expansion opportunities at our parks and we are closely evaluating where it makes the most sense to direct future investments."

Bob's comments appear to be a clear indication that DeSantis' targeted retaliation against Disney may impact the company's plans in Florida

Because we have a dipshit, fascist governor who acts the way he does so, going by his example, the bigots think it’s okay to act that way as well. Desantis is 100% trash and if you support him, I have no respect for you and will lump you in with the rest of the bigots and racists.

Disney gives a lot more campaign money to Democrats than they do to republicans, so I wonder if that has anything to do with the feud.

Many other locations will happily take some of that Disney $. They’re already angling for it

DeSantis will just get his legislature to pass a law requiring Disney to invest that $17B in Florida. Or else. Easy Peasy.

Disney will always win this fight.
Not only do they have basic common sense on their side as opposed to the idiotic hysteria coming out of the governors office. But they have a hundred places to put those jobs if they so choose.

That's completely untrue in Florida. Disney donated 3x's more to Republicans than Democrats. Just ask your boy Ronnie. You should question whatever source you are using

Latino truck drivers to boycott Florida
Truckers Threaten Ron DeSantis With Florida Boycott Over Migrant Crackdown

While the new law has received some praise from DeSantis's fellow Republicans, reports have emerged that Latin American truckers on social media are planning an effort to boycott Florida in response, which would include refusing to bring shipments into the state. The growing response was documented on Twitter by independent journalist Arturo Dominguez, who shared various videos of truckers discussing the plan on Twitter.

"Spanish language social media has exploded with Latino truck drivers calling for a boycott and refusing to take shipments into Florida," Dominguez wrote in a tweet. "Things are about to get interesting

    I said in Florida

In 2020 alone, Disney affiliates donated $1.7 million at the state level, with the majority of funds donated to state party organizations, including the Florida Republican Party and the California Democratic Party, as opposed to individual candidates. Republican committees, candidates and caucuses received $1.3 million in total, while their Democratic counterparts took in $350,000, according to OpenSecrets.

Disney affiliates contributed $1.3 million at the state level so far in the 2022 cycle, with $949,000 going toward Republicans and $387,000 to Democrats. Friends of Ron DeSantis PAC, a committee supporting Florida’s governor, received a $50,000 donation last March in addition to $56,809 the committee had already received. One of DeSantis’s possible opponents in the general election, state Sen. Annette Taddeo (R-40), received just $2,000 from Disney affiliates.

So in. Florida you can’t teach that religious texts have social justice themes. The term “social justice” is indoctrination

Meanwhile, another social studies textbook intended for grades 6-8 was forced by the department to alter a reference to the Hebrew Bible in order to meet state standards. According to state documents, the book’s original version included a question for students reading, “What social justice issues are included in the Hebrew Bible?”

That was altered to an approved version that replaced the phrase “social justice issues” with the term “key principles.” The state’s rationale for the change was that the original phrasing used “Politically charged language when referencing the Hebrew Bible.”

So you can teach from a religious text like the Hebrew Bible, but you cannot suggest there are “social justice” themes. I guess they don’t read their “Bible” to promote social justice, which is telling.

Evil people are running our state.
