It actually gets worse. This DeSantis crony, who has no experience or qualifications and was arrested three years ago for impersonating a cop, was picked because the other people in the running were Democrats.

One trustee made it clear the choice had to do with @GovRonDeSantis and politics: “You have to understand that we are political appointees, and [the rejected finalists] were all Democrats. The governor doesn’t appoint all Republican trustees and expect us to select a Democrat.”

    We live in an idiocracy.

the one time in my life I might contribute to a union. if he would have made it unilateral across all unions I might have supported it. this targeting with the cover of the law is bs and reminds me of early germany

Makes sense. Are you expecting them to teach Republican facts or Democratic facts? Remember, the Republicans won the election. That entitles them to teach their own facts, their own version of the truth. Elections have consequences, even on facts.

On the upside those same doctors are very generous in offering their thoughts and prayers……as long as it’s covered by their insurance.

So she had releases signed by every parent but that doesn't satisfy state requirements? Is that what state is claiming?
That will help the teacher shortage. Maybe the bottom 5% pay scale will help offset the risk of loss of license..smdh

With the full blessing of the legislature. Seems the covid windfall was well spent buying legislative support for culture wars, presidential ambitions, and punitive measures against any and all opposition.

It's really hard to believe stuff like this is actually happening.

Showing this is engaging in misconduct? (Redacted) all of them.

stands in front of a big brother sign:)

Why can’t he talk like a man? This is like a commercial for why a transitioning chick should start hormone therapy sooner

The State's rebuttal will be that parental releases don't overrule state law. They're likely targeting her due to Don't Say Gay. (One of the main characters in the film is gay.)

One daughter gone, other planning a move out of state.between them and boyfriends 1 physical therapist, one chef, one who works with lspectrum kids, and obe butcher. All out of the workforce. These abortion laws are going to result in a lot of the people needed to run our society. One daughter was considering getting her teacher license. No longer
