The main reason liberals are so trusting of their news sources…they’re primarily all liberal.
You guys can win this game of chase down links because your agenda is running journalism and media.

I can’t speak for anyone else but I don’t trust all sources, but main stream media at least admits on air when they misreport something. That’s reason enough to trust them. We’re also smart enough to understand the difference between reporting and voicing an opinion.

If we're going to generalize one side of the political aisle we have proof that foxnews is telling Republicans what they want to hear instead of the truth.

Agree 100% on campaign contributions. I’d support a law that corporations and PACs aren’t allowed to contribute to ANY campaign, and that personal limits on donations of $100 should be imposed.

They aren’t appointing the same people, but that’s part of the game. Same with abortion, gun control, and culture wars. It’s about keeping us the subjects at each others throats while they get rich.

Oh really ? I’d argue that it lied forcefully, constantly and consistently during Covid and has continued in that through Ukraine.

There's no "game," dude. How much time have you spent around politicians? Plenty of them will lie and change their stances/rhetoric as needed to keep and pursue power. But that's within reason. Ron DeSantis believes in a lot of the terrible shit he does, even if he doesn't necessarily believe in all of the terrible shit he says.

Politicians will go along to get along when it suits them, but they're not playing some game. Maybe looking at it that way is what makes it easier for you to accept how shitty most of our elected officials are, but it's a conspiracy theory. And the whole "both sides are the same" stuff isn't a good way of looking at things. They're not the same. And their differences have very significant impacts on people's lives.

Gotta amend the Constitution, which I'd fully support. Although, we need to find a way to balance limiting dark and corruptive money with allowing people who aren't wealthy to have the means to run successful campaigns.

I worked for a Republican elected official in the past. I can tell you that this person wasn't playing a game. I know some Democrats in politics. Same is true of them.

You have several sources that do pretty much the same things. Blaze TV, OAN, NewsMax, RSBN, Townhall, Washington Times, Breitbart, and the Daily Wire. Do I need to go on?

Apparently, like Trump, DeSantis has no bottom.

"A homeowner gets angry at a county commission over a zoning dispute and writes a Facebook post accusing a local buildings official of being in the pocket of developers.

A right-wing broadcaster criticizing border policies accuses the secretary of homeland security of being a traitor.

A parent upset about the removal of a gay-themed book from library shelves goes to a school board meeting and calls the board chair a bigot and a homophobe.

All three are examples of Americans engaging in clamorous but perfectly legal speech about public figures that is broadly protected by the Constitution. The Supreme Court, in a case that dates back nearly 60 years, ruled that even if that speech might be damaging or include errors, it should generally be protected against claims of libel and slander. All three would lose that protection — and be subject to ruinous defamation lawsuits — under a bill that is moving through the Florida House and is based on longstanding goals of Gov. Ron DeSantis."
Opinion | Florida Is Trying to Take Away the American Right to Speak Freely

Surely there's no one who thinks such a measure is appropriate.

You know that's not true. There are unfortunately plenty of right-wingers who pine for a repressive, authoritarian regime.

Edit: the full episode since Bluke gave me a C’mon man rating. I think he was disappointed to watch only the first few minutes.

Doesn't open for me. What's the comedian's name? I'll try to Google the episode. He's very funny and usually right on point, which pisses off some. (The truth hurts.)

Fake news. Florida is the “gold standard” despite everything proving the contrary. DeSantis’ supporters will never admit that the guy is an abject disaster because that would admit they were wrong, which is not a strong suit of conservatives.
