A nothing burger in the sense that he's not a national security risk. He's just a weirdo. Sad that there are other weirdos who think this is what a "loving, responsible parent" does. But hey, live and let live.
And do you like them? Yeah, many Dems do, becasue they are more ideologically aligned with the Dems (NWO) than the real Constitutional Republicans... called MAGA Pubs.
Which is of course why he's trying to scrub this from his social media. Because its a nothing burger.
Well, sorry for giving off weird vibes in this thread. To bring back the happy and normal vibes to the thread I’ve posted a picture of the quintessential non-weird loving and responsible parent protecting their children:
I think you meant to say he *is* a national security risk. Or at least so long as he has that spying app on his phone. If he were just a regular dad and not in govt, I’d go so far to say I have no issue with it. I just don’t like the lack of trust it implies. To enter such a pact with an 17 year old is almost as weird as Pence not wanting to be in the same room as another woman. Pretty much a nothing burger. It’s just… well…weird. For a guy in his position to install 3rd party software whose implicit purpose is spying is incredibly stupid and naive. I bet this guy voted to ban TikTok too.
“A US Congressman is allowing a 3rd Party tech company to scan ALL of his electronic devices daily and then uploading reports to his son about what he’s watching or not watching….,” Receipt Maven wrote. “I mean, who else is accessing that data?” smdh..
The app is concerning for somebody in his position. Having said that, I don't care if he and his son want to hold each other accountable in some way. At least they're not forcing the rest of us to do it.
You know, I thought that was weird of Pence when I heard about it years ago. The more I've thought about it, though, it's not the worst thing in the world IMO to protect himself and his family from (1) false allegations and/or (2) temptation. Also, it's a little refreshing when people (particularly politicians) actually seem to believe in their purported faith and standards. I'd be surprised if Obama spends much if any time alone with women he's not related to or hasn't known forever.
He immediately set off my gaydar and that's before I learned of his obsession with gay sex. Wouldn't be surprised if he attended a gay conversion camp as a teenager since he's such an advocate for conversion therapy now.
Eh. I get those concerns politicians might have. But still feels over the top and misogynistic. Like it’s impossible to have a professional or friendly relationship without sex. Imagine any other workplace imposing strict rules like that. It would be nutso.
National security considerations aside, which are real, I thought Charlotte Clymer had a smart take on whether this is OK behavior as a parent. Thread
That's an interesting perspective about their age and power differences and him placing his son in that role.
You figure a US congressman might have more than 1 laptop? He's probably getting off to some weird shit on his other laptop. These ultra Christian guys often do. See the thread about the cross-dresser who just offed himself.
I wonder if Mike Johnson has a private e-mail server to circumvent using his government email account.
