Support for who? That is unlikely. McCarthy explicitly said he was unwilling to make any concessions for Democratic votes. To a vast majority republicans working with Democrats is the absolute worst thing you can do.

The ones in Washington that are the most staunch opponents are usually the ones you have to look out for

Well, good to see I haven't missed anything on Too Hot.

Absolute hysteria over *new Republican leader* as usual.

The last 7 years have shown hysteria over *new Republican leader* is warranted. But hey, who doesn't want a speaker who thinks the earth is 10,000 years old.

I know right? Just because the new speaker as a congressman from TX headed up efforts to have the courts overturn the election not only in TX, but also GA Wisc and AZ. Any good conservative knows that it is perfectly legit to demand the courts overturn elections in states outside of your own. I think it’s in the constitution somewhere.

The last 7 years have shown that hysteria over Trump was completely overblown and comfort over Biden and Democrats are completely misplaced.

But I don't expect you to understand that. Just not how politics works. Most people just seem to always double down no matter what.

The effort was to review the election results and delay the process to ensure the right person was elected, not to just willy-nilly wave a magic wand and keep Trump in the White House.

    Also:

    1. Questioning election results and calls to ensure election integrity is not election denial any more than Al Gore or Stacey Abrams in their elections.
    2. Opposing abortion is not misogyny.
    3. Supporting Trump is not inherently a bad thing.

so McCarthy was gone and they had a chance to offer a reasonable power sharing agreement to the pubs who didn't want the magats in charge, Instead, they chose to sit out and win one for the party, screw the country. enough of the pub party were no way let trump control this issue but the dems did nothing to help them keep the fox out of the hen house. team before country, both sides. now the whole country has to endure this shit show, we all own it, and we will all suffer for it, but hey, we can find a way to blame it ont he other guy and fundraise and hopefully get power for shlling out the fear and the shit on the shingle ot go with it

    Dude, they extended the offer:
Jeffries encourages moderate Republicans to join Democrats and end House deadlock
