I think the issue with bowls is that we had to put in the picks so early. Things like opt outs and coaching changes affect these games so much. I think breaking that down to multiple bowl game weeks would help.
In all reality, i think of Tommy as the winner because tge regular season is what its all about. Its a crapshoot by itself but tge bowls are rarely a real game tgat both teams are intent on winning.
I still like my idea of a last chance Hailmary at a big sum of points (like 50 or so) for correctly guessing every game of the playoffs which would be 11 straight games correct, not sure we've seen that much. We've had some perfect weeks at 5 correct picks and that's even a struggle. Don't think we've had anyone get 2 straight perfect weeks. It would still put heavy emphasis on the regular season but would give players in the middle of the pack a punchers chance in a game that making up ground is hard since you don't lose points, just gain points. Maybe keep them engaged with a looming chance they can still possibly compete to win. Either way I'm still playing next year and will try my best not to miss a week which is what ultimately did me in.
To your point, the bowl games kept a lot of people in the running. Compared to Realty’s Pickems, there was much more engagement throughout the season.
Whoo, my top playoff pick is now in the championship. ND has played well, curious who they will see across from them after tonight's game.
Hell no, but I'm not above taking any moral victories I can get. If I was able to keep my original 3 picks of ND,OSU,Penn st. That would have been cool to have all threego as far as possible
