Now this is a situation where state and local officials really need to dig deep and root out any prevailing racist activity within the law enforcement in and around Jackson. This is an extremely unfortunate incident for many reasons. Thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families. These crooked cops inevitably give police everywhere a bad rap. Hopefully, this incident is not reflective of most of the officers in Rankin County. My guess is it's not, but it does call in the need for thorough investigation, additional training and they can make their point by putting these former officers away for a long, long time.

Seems like giving a "like/dislike" or "agree/disagree" is the definition of subjectivity, but ok maybe your like is for society, and not yourself or something

Like a plague of giant snails, we are. Our big brains do conjure an appalling number of adverse events, from personal to global, no question.

Nope. No. Just completely wrong headed.
I am definitely pro cop… I am also completely against letting animals be cops. An there is never NEVER an excuse or a reason for ANY human to treat another this way.
Do I think cops carry a lot of baggage due to their job and who they interact with in a daily basis.. yes. Do I think that gives an excuse for this kind of behavior? No.

How long will those cops last in "Gen-Pop"??? They better "tat-up" with some of Goebbels best if they want to live long. Gotta blend in with the Aryan Brotherhood.

I’ll catch flak for this but those cops are nothing more than animals. No gen pop. Death penalty. I feel the same way for repeat violent criminals. Once you show you are a debased humane, an animal walking amongst the civilized, you need to be put down.
We do it to rabid dogs. We do it to bears that get too use to humans, we do it to any animal that becomes a threat. These cops (if allegations are true) are animals that are a threat to civilized humans.

I think in almost all those situations people think the other group is the "evil" and werent doing it for enjoyment of others suffering... but definitely large swaths of people lose their humanity. Maybe its explained by the fact fear and anger make people act irrationally. Look at Jan 6th for a group that thought they were doing good but did evil.

Tell me about it. And that apocalyptic Canadian smoke/historic heat wave is surely giving credence to "the world is burning," impressions.

Trashy novels are my great escape.

I'm actually researching when the first settlements
(Catal Hyuk) (Gericho) (The "Tepe's" in Central Turkey)
began to show signs of human aggression / warfare.

    It's a fascinating subject.

While we have images of the earliest people living in settlements
like trogladytes it is curious what the archeologists find.

It's also telling to look at settlement construction.

This is a difficult field. Not ALOT of evidence is currently available that early settlements were torn apart by warfare or conflict.
    I'm talking 8,000 - 16,000 BC.

It is curious how in later stages people begin building what seems to be fortresses or defensive works, everywhere.

What the hell was the tower of Gericho built for? That ain't no church.

Then of course there is very disturbing data that shows entire cities sheltered undergound or in significant defensive works.

One thing is for sure, by the start of the Bronze Age you better have good defenses and a big army because some very bad people were coming to take, what you have!

Well City, I'm not a taker, I'm a giver and a pleaser (and a bitcher on these boards). I may at least report I left my cavemans club in the trunk.
