    Bottom of a pint glass
Saw a pretty good joke on this.

Between this and Trump it was a bad week for ears in the USA.

My wife wasn't even in the room and hollered out "whoever is singing that is awful"

The HR Derby should check into rehab as well. That was awful to watch.

I could not believe how bad she was. Not sure being drunk would make a good singer sound so out of tune.

Her producer must be a wizard in the studio.

Audio engineers are the ones who make the magic happen in studios. By tweaking a few buttons and adding reverb and other effects, they can make an average singer sound amazing.

This is the other side of auto tune. Rehab sounds like a cover. She is just terrible.

There are so many bad versions of our National Anthem, I wish they would hire professional "Anthem singers". It is not easy to sing to begin with, add in all these "singers" who are bad, and pile on all of the "artistic interpretations", most performances are really bad. Just one more recording/performance for the scrap pile.

Yikes. That was awful even considering that it's such a hard song to sing. I lip-synch it even if there are thousands of people around me trying to belt it out.

Terrible singer but she does appear to be hammered. Rehab is probably a good idea.

Indeed, there are many bad ones out there, but I think one of America’s ideals is experimentation (hence the 50 states). The problem is that banning these bad renditions would deprive us of the sublime ones as well, including Marvin Gaye’s magical rendition from 1983.

Best Anthem I have ever heard. I was 10 years old in 91 and there have been some good ones, but every time I hear this I get goose bumps and cry.

You think she's drunk or on something else? I figured drunk would mean slurring words. She simply sounded horrible.

Personally, I think she goes off the grid for a month to an Airbnb. That whole "I'll let you know how rehab is. I hear it's super fun." rang hollow to me.

Wasn't the best, but not particularly horrible. I've heard worse. I was expecting worse as I heard about it that night (perhaps my expectations were such that it such didn't reach them).

Imo, she looked drunker than the sounded.

Btw--add on point--ill take a poorly executed but sincere, real, natural effort, to a pre rec'd lip sync job any day of the week, and thrice on Sunday.

Props to her for walking the rope without a net.

This version was way, way worse than Roseanne's version.

Its hard to imagine worse unless it was an open mic night national anthem. The ones that come to mind are non-singers like Roseanne and Carl Lewis.

Carl is a true patriot, but he should never sing.
