I thought the board was saying he was switching to Miami? He didn’t? Great news but man why all the rumors?
DJ sent in his signed LOI this morning. Just not announced till his signing ceremony due to ESPN interviews. Not stealing his thunder.
The last hour or so has certainly erased some of the negativity I was feeling, bringing in a couple of top rated 5 stars makes the rest of the class look that much better! BN deserves credit here just as he would have been blamed if the class completely fell apart, some of the misses don't even look that bad now!
But there was a Crystal Ball that he was going somewhere else! It's like I can't believe EVERYTHING on the interwebs anymore!
Have you been following the lawsuits? The NCAA has been infringing on players’ rights for decades. Why can you as a college student make money off your ability to sell yourself and an athlete in your class can’t?
Agree – I think we got are better off with Dike over Iziah W as we need plug-and-play production NOW. The video of Mertz/Dike at Wisconsin (post 256) gave me encouragement that next year, with his apparent wr skill and ingrained familiarity with Mertz, he can compliment Trey W and our returning skill players. And with the needed offensive line portal plug-and-play improvements our offense should be at least as good or better than last year. Comes down to improved defense and special teams I would think? And, also, S&C…
At one point we had 20 recruits and 16 of them were supposed to be early enrollees. Some players switched around, and we added other players so I have no idea now...
I'll try to be a voice of reason. Could they have done better, absolutely. Did they sign 2 of the top 6 players? You bet your ass they did. Been a while. Hammer the portal now and put a ribbon on this class. Let's go lights out next year with that stupid schedule, then welcome back to dominance. Just my 2 cents of being a Gator for 30+ years.
Looks like UF has 18 signees which is less than everybody in top 19. Why so few? Seems like UF often has less than other big name program. Why is that?
