When sick people have access to powerful weapons. So many lives lost and ruined in an instant

The president isn't gonna stop this from happening. It's systemic, cultural and we're going on 20+ years. An entire segment of our population refuses to care.

As if the country is gonna even flinch. Here come the people quoting statistics claiming this is a relatively rare event and people are just being emotional about it.

It certainly makes me emotional. We lived in Highland Park from 1974 - 1976. Lovely lakeside small town on Chicago's northside. We attended that annual July 4 parade twice - in 1974 and 1975.

 

Oh I'm being facetious. We have been told here that in the grand scheme of things the random shootings and deaths are very rare and we are just being emotional because the shootings involve kids. Or grocery stores. Or churches. Or movie theaters. Or....
