What worked for me for one game that the ESPN commentators (or is it common tators?) were REALLY grating, I listened to Van Morrison via Amazon Music. He does a great combination of uplifting sound and variety without too much distraction or adrenaline rush. I may try it again.

All bad commentary does for me, and I am not talking about homerism although it does work there also, is raise my blood alcohol level. And I don't think I will need much more than what I expect. Otherwise, I would need to resort to Plan B and that gets EXPENSIVE!

We picked a heckuva season to get to the Final Four, with 4 of the 10 best teams in KenPom history vying for the title. It will be an incredible accomplishment if our guys can pull off two more wins. No matter what happens, super proud of this team and the season they put together.

Do what I do: Don't watch at all. Work on the Honey-do list and check the ESPN app at approximately half time, then again at approximately the U8 media TO. Then decide if you should follow on the app or put the phone down and say "It's been a good season." NOTE: if we are down 9 with 3 minutes to go, don't say "It's been a good season."...keep refreshing!

PS: My initial reaction to seeing ESPN tell me we were down 10 at U8ish was resignation and sadness. I came to this board to see reactions and, let me tell you, it was brutal. Post 557: Dude gives up on the team. Sad. Something inside of me said "We have had those scoring sports all season; maybe we have one to get it closer. So I kept checking...saw we hadn't quit or given up...but when we got to behind by 3 with ample time I had a surge of belief in the guys.

Hahaha Ranger, you DOG! So I'm not the only one that can't take the pressure?
I will admit to my (sometimes) system:

Start watching on about a 20 minute delay.
Skip 90% of halftime uselessness. This eliminates another 15 minutes of damnable commercials.
I do like catching Patrick or Gator Supporters when they are on at halftime.

    In summary:
First reason: the DAMN commercials. I'm all for tar and feathering the A Holes that make us watch 80 minutes of commercials for a 40 minute BB Game.
Second: I can fast forward to see how we are doing.
Third: (As in the UGA game in Athens) Falling behind by 26 kinda sucks. So I can just fast forward through that crap.
Fourth: If we lose I don't have to suffer through the other teams celebrations.

I don't always do this, but I will admit I do it a good bit.

There you have it - My system

I am trying to use this method. It doesn't seem to work for me.

If it doesn't work the next time, I think I will try "Hoochee MAMA!"
