Princely is apparently a member of the All-Practice Field team. I'm still waiting for him to impact a real game.
I just watched a video from that Gal Ali on YouTube. Her video was great, she really laid it out there. No holding back, and she is a huge Gator and Napier fan too. Personally, I think Mertz is gonna be great. And the defense should be a lot better this year, they already are. Tenn in the Swamp is gonna be something else. We have time to tune up. We have a lot of premier talent and they'll ramp up here soon. Go Gators.
Was he injured or did he take one game off? Searcy snap count will have to be increased significantly.
I thought our defense played pretty well, especially upfront. We got some guys. I still think we need someone to step up at corner opposite Marshall but I think we will be good enough to win with on that side of the ball.
The only big concern I have is offensive line. Keep Metz on his feet and get the running game going and we can score some points. He was sacked five times and was pretty decent about getting the ball out. Those sacks weren’t really on him. He can’t go downfield on his back and was constantly pressured. If they aren’t going to give him more time, he will have to stay with the shorter throws. I’m not sure if they can run block but they can at least learn to work together better and get him another 3/4 of a second to get the ball down the field.
Offensive line is the real issue. I do think the defense is better, but the O-line play was horrible. It doesn't matter how good the skill players are if the line doesn't do their job.
Didn't see the game because of Disney's fight with Spectrum but there were way too many stupid mistakes for me to think we'll have a good season. Hope I'm wrong but I've been watching Gator football for 63 years and this does not look good.
He did draw a holding penalty that brought back a 3rd down conversion, but other than that all zeros on the stat sheet.
I thought Searcy was pretty dominant early, but only played 15 snaps with 3 total tackes, matching Sapp's production in 29 plays Collins only played 8 and had a single assist. Princely had no stats on 40 plays
Yes, it almost felt like Utah went cruise control, including soft coverage, after racing to a 24-3 lead … at which juncture the game felt like another Oregon State debacle to me.
