    <<Florida sophomore inside linebacker and projected starter Shemar James suffered a leg injury during Wednesday's fall training camp practice, multiple sources told All Gators on Thursday.

    James is scheduled to receive a full evaluation of the injury on Thursday morning and a timeline for his return to participation is currently undetermined. Head coach Billy Napier is expected to address James' injury during his Thursday press conference.>>

    Rumor is that it wasn't a non-contact injury.

    Well, that's what is being speculated on the premium side. Not sure anything has been determined yet as he is still scheduled for testing which is probably going on right about now (12:35 p.m.).

    Edit: That and being in a black jersey for a week or so.

    Exactly. Coach Napier said it's a lower body injury . . . to be determined.

    Coach Napier wouldn’t go into any more detail so we won't either.

    However, Coach accentuated the positive, which I respect him for, and said that an already competitive LB room that the coaches already expect very good things from, will profit from others getting more snaps . . . for however long they get them.

    James was seen in the facility today and he was in a full leg brace. That was before the MRI (I believe).

    Someone very trustworthy has reported a strictly "hypothetical" and without going into any specifics, that "hypothetical" makes me feel a lot better.

    Sounds like it's not season ending but he will be out awhile that someone needs to step up.

    So, he misses a week until the swelling goes down and he feels comfortable, he'll have 3 weeks to get ready for at Utah. In the meantime, it's good practice time for someone else which can only be good for better depth.
