Dead on. There's an open question about those reigns to DJ, how much and how soon, and opinions vary. But that's really it as far as I can tell. You and I are disagreeing in a different thread, but agree completely here.

 

For what it’s worth, I think Mertz gets two series. If we struggle to move the ball and don’t score, lagway must come in. I think starting Mertz is the right thing but a move must be made quickly if need be. We can’t wait to get down 21-3 or something like that.

 

I watched it yesterday, and for all the hate the staff gets about rotating Barber, he got beat a lot, and he's supposed to be our best Olineman? He was getting put in a blender by Samford Dlinemen. Not a good look...

 

I guess it’s true that Addazzio talked him into adding a te and fb to his offense after Bama shut it down in 05 so maybe there’s some truth to that. He modified his offense that way and for Leak to win a national title though. That’s the sign of a good coach. He changed things that weren’t working .

 

We don’t need to be 10-0 in the second quarter.
