Serious question: Is being a Cabinet Secretary a better job than being in Congress?

In response to the original question, the pay is better for a Cabinet Secretary and there is considerably more responsibility than for a member of Congress. On the other hand there is more job security in Congress considering members of the House are good for 2-year terms and member of the Senate are good for 6-year terms while appointees to cabinet level positions can be immediately canned on the whim of the president and if the behavior of the recently elected president during his first term is any indicator of how he will govern in his new term there will be very little job security for members of his cabinet and other high level appointees. My guess is that a number will be canned after less than a year in office and probably over half will end up serving less than two years.
