We deserve to be the top seed in the South after a convincing win over the team that beat Auburn yesterday. Send them to the West.
Which is why the conference tourneys mean nothing unless a team needs one or two more wins on their resume. It’s BS really.
I think the seeds were probably set, don’t think locations were. That’s the one area they have more flexibility on the final day.
I want to avoid Houston. I hope they're on the opposite side They seem like a better Tennessee. That grind you down, half court, rock fight team is the hardest for us.
I agree and I said it before they started. However, I got a feeling going into today, if UT had beat us, they were going to steal the 1 line from us. I don't understand how Houston is above UF, and if the conference tournament means anything we should at least jump them.
Auburn - Michigan state Duke - Tennessee UF - St Johns Houston - Bama Would be my 1-2 matchups, but I know nothing
Why? They are still (slightly) ahead of us in all the result metrics and well ahead of us in most of the predictive metrics. And that includes this weekend.
Current Odds now have us and Auburn tied right behind Duke. And in front of Houston 300 and then everyone else far behind. Odds are always the most telling in my opinion. Save for Cinderellas.
Head of the Selection Committee Bubba Cunningham the UNC AD and Gerry Bryne Bama AD on committee will send UF out West and Bama will be over seeded in the South with all it's games close to home. UNC will get in as well.
With regards to seeding, I believe he’s closer to being right than being wrong. As far as what it means to the team, no doubt winning this tourney means something to them.
And people say it every year, no matter how it evolves or they tweak it. It's not a science, and it will never be. It rewards teams for who they played and how they played over the course of the year. Our non-conference just screwed us by so may solid teams just being terrible. It happens. We are a 1-seed. We got Raleigh. We are in great shape.
What about the teams that have a good OOC schedule but a weak in conference schedule? Or is the OOC the real weight?
