    Those don't qualify for forgiveness, so I'm not sure how they're relevant.

    I get it just fine, but what you’re not getting is you’re punishing the wrong people. You have a lot of parents who didn’t plan for their child’s college education, and lending agencies that made it far too easy to borrow money. I’m sure the kids that took out the loans thought they would be able to pay off their debt quickly, but as most of us senior’s found out, things happen.

    Further not all the debt is being paid off. Those who received a Pell grant will get up to $20,000 in forgiveness while those who went the private route can receive up to $10,000 in forgiveness.
