89 years old, will be 95 at the end of his term. I don't even care about his politics but my god find somebody younger.

Peter Welch (D) projected winner for Senator from Vermont. Only the 2nd D elected in statewide vote, he replaces the retiring Patrick Leahy who was the first.

Fetterman declared the winner in Penn. I think this is a pickup for the Ds.

It is (Toomey's seat). Gotta hope they find a way to hold Nevada now. (AZ seems to be leaning D, and GA seems to be headed for a runoff.)

Too early to tell much of anything in Nevada IMO. There’s like 466k votes in and 451k of them are from Las Vegas/Clark County.

Story if the GOP doesn’t flip the Senate ultimately ought to be some of the terrible candidates Trump pushed on the party in what should have been easier races this year (namely Oz and Walker).

Of course, only 44% of vote in but bad start for Rs and the red wave is flat lining nationwide.
CNN projecting Fetterman as a win.

My point on Nevada is the 44% that’s in is almost exclusively from the single most Democratic county in the state.

They managed to keep Ron Johnson, somewhat surprising considering how much of a clown he is and that WI seems relatively purple.

Trump bootlicker JD Vance also managed to win, despite Tim Ryan seeming to be an excellent candidate. Ohio just seems to be going redder (like FL) so this wasn’t a surprise.

Vance managed to win on coattails.

Pulling off a 7% victory when DeWine got re-elected with a 25% margin and the GOP appears to have a super majority in both houses of the legislature doesn’t speak to Vance being an impressive candidate - he significantly underperformed essentially every other Republican in Ohio, Ohio is just red enough that even that wasn’t enough to make him lose.

Yea, but Clark county isn't exactly red. As I recall it went for Biden.

Agree on trump candidates, esp in Pa/Ga.

Guys on fox we’re pissed because pubs had to spend 32m extra because Vance wasn’t cruising along as he should have. Trump looking like the common denominator for many bad candidates.
