NB: @ [TDS afflicted]--Elon Musk and the President's DOGE by definition, do NOT constitute a "shadow government"--bc you know who Elon Musk is, what DOGE is, and what they're doing...

...He and DOGE answer to the POTUS, have no authority to actually do anything via order, act, subpoena or otherwise, without the express authorization of the POTUS...

...and you can fire them at will-in 4 years, by electiong a POTUS that doesn't approve of DOGE.

Meanwhile, with Doh! Biden, we still TTVD, do not know who was actually doing the POTUS work/calling the shots/ pulling the puppet strings (ok.... it was the Chicoms, but they did it behind the scenes--ie in the shadows...ie a *Shadow government*).

Whine sum mo' for us about how the poor Chicom Puppet Party no longer has power to screw us for reward, and fatten themselves up in the process...

    And you know this how?

See, that's what makes it NOT a shadow government.

    Don't like the results?

Kick Trump's successor out of office next Pres'l elxn.

That's what we had to do v/v Doh! Biden.

Considering the amount of business that Elon Musk does in China he is probably the real Chicom puppet. You think that Elon would ever do anything to displease Xi Jinping?

According to recent data, Tesla's business in China accounts for roughly 22.5% of the company's total revenue, with China operations generating approximately $21.75 billion in revenue in 2023 alone; making it a significant portion of Tesla's overall business.

....and he's not POTUS, has no authority to issue EO's, enact legislation, enter into or enforce (or ignore) treaties or tariffs...

He can review stuff for the POTUS, and advise the POTUS

Meanwhile, Doh! Biden became aristocracy by side gigging off the books for the Chicoms (inter alia), under the guise of being a public servants lifer (lol!).

Yeah, you're preaching self righteousness while standing neck deep in sewage.

    Very compelling...

There is no transparency or accountability. Just because they are doing it brazenly and you agree with what you think is maybe happening doesn’t mean it’s above board. How conservatives are happy about an immigrant globalist billionaire disassembling the federal bureaucracy is crazy to me. I mean I know people have wanted stuff like this for a while but it’s like letting wolves in with the sheep. They may cull the herd for you but how long until they turn on you?

While Musk has no legal authority it should be rather obvious by now that Trump has delegated a great deal of his authority as POTUS to Elon Musk. In fact Musk's recent stunts with respect to federal agencies have actually gone beyond what any actual POTUS has done.

    "Disassembling"???

    Try calling out.

    For wasteful spending/ self dealing.

He. Has. No. Authority. To. Do.
    ANYTHING.

    Wolves can eat sheep.

As an advisor to the POTUS, he's basically a hunting dog that alerts to potential hogs.

He doesn't do the killing--just sniffing out and alerting to the target of the hunt (waste).

It's a damn shame we need an outsider to review for wasteful spending bc we damn sure can't count on the bought and paid for whores that have sold us out.

But all yall do is whine that an immigrant outsider is calling out domestic in house real murican corruption...

What about the waste, self dealing and corruption?

I'm far more disgusted by that, than who was tapped to do the calling out.

    He's a dog. A hunting dog.

    Go @#$%& get em Elon!

ok fine let’s say we accept everything you just said - why do we trust Elon musk? Again, a globalist immigrant billionaire with his own interests and agendas? He has billions tied up in China alone…

Delegating Elon Musk to root out corruption would be the equivalent of having this woman investigate Islamic extremism.

He'll walk away with billions more of our money through fraud using smoke and mirrors. You trust Elon? You'd trust anyone that says they are a trumph supporter

Troops on the border last year: 15,000. Last I checked 15,000 is greater than 10,000. Trump got played.

The right wing has a billionaire fetish so no surprise they think Elon is on their side. Billionaires are for the working people, don’t you know? Lmao. The logic is insane.

Their FAFO is unfortunately going to affect those of us that see them for what they are. Saying "told you so" is useless in this situation.

Doesn't matter if I trust Elon. The President does.

I simply have no problem with it, or Elon. What i do know about Elon, is that the guy is pretty good with money (pretty much the best), and he's turned most every company he's bought into a monster success.

Appreciate the response- much more thoughtful than I get around here lately. I doubt musk accumulated all that wealth by being an altruistic human being. Kind of makes it hard to trust someone that has so much to gain by tinkering with the system. But I guess if you trust Trump then…

What gives Musk the right to lock civil servants out of their computers? To stop Congressionally appropriated monies from being distributed? Or access to Fed workers' PII (Personal Identifying Information)? How is any of this legal?

And Musk always a success? The value of Twitter has dropped about 75% since he took over.
