    Will the Senate expel him now? It would take 2/3 of the Senate to do so. His seat is up for re-election this year.

    Hope so, and I hope he gets a new outfit, as in prison orange. (And I am a Democrat), this guy has been crooked from day 1.

    It was a matter of timing. Did he get paid up front. OR... after he did a "solid" that was favorable to the person paying him. :rolleyes::eek:o_O:confused:

    Schumer wants him out. No way the ethics committee doesn't recommend expulsion. at least the dems are walking the walk here and showing integrity that MAGA does not. how does one reconcile that discrepancy of playing within the rules when negotiating with the opposition?

    wife trial is delayed for medical reasons..she is a true trumper...

    Sen. Bob Menendez found guilty on all counts, including acting as foreign agent, in federal corruption trial - ABC News (go.com)
    "In light of this guilty verdict, Senator Menendez must now do what is right for his constituents, the Senate, and our country, and resign," he said.

    Sen. Cory Booker, Menendez's New Jersey counterpart, and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy joined in the calls for his immediate resignation. If the senator refuses to vacate his office, Murphy said he will call on the U.S. Senate to expel him.

    The Senate Ethics Committee said it will "promptly" complete the investigation into Menendez's conduct that it undertook when the allegations against him first surfaced.

    The committee said it will consider the "full range of disciplinary actions available under the Rules of Procedure," which include expulsion and censure.
