    I was right.

A moderator calls me out and I make a defensive post. River said I was weak and he questioned my need to make a post about it.
Think again. I think he was asking for it.

You’ve probably tolerated me because you’ve noticed that I try to treat posters the way they treat me.
    And I’m consistent and honest.
I’ve kept you around as well. I find you to be an interesting person.
    Thanks for keeping me around.

Were you one of those kids who stirred ant beds with a stick?

I agree that you got called out, but ask yourself why and go from there. You could respond to the post and disagree with it, stating your case, instead of firing a rude salvo back. River didn't actually say that you are weak. The quote was "Seems a little weak to need to block people. And I’ve never understood the need to announce that you blocked."

You might take the quote in context and then disagree with it. I disagree with the weak notion, as I've blocked a couple posters in my time and didn't think it was due to weakness. You might disagree and state your case, but instead you wrote:

In your mind he was asking for it and maybe he was. Consider how different responses might be taken on his end.
    1. I've always thought you were a weak poster. (Personally, I would dismiss this kind of rhetoric and tend to hold hard feelings against the person who posted it).
    2. You seem to be calling me weak, but that's not the case. I actually find this move to be cathartic and sharing here made sense to me. (Personally, I would read this and at least take a min to think back on my post. Was I wrong?)

And you're the one who gets on a ladder with a broom to swat a hornet's nest, wonder why you got stung

Being as fearful of being stung as I was as a child, I can't say I ever did that, though I may have stirred an ant bed or two. But oh, what I wouldn't give to be able to even climb a ladder.

How about you, I think I recall you once posted you were transplanted from New York as a kid and raised in Hawthorne? Wasn't HHS's mascot the Hawthorne Hornets?

    Great memory. 100% correct.
When I was 7 I walked right into one and got stung 12 times in the neck and face area. Had to be treated at the hospital, found out I was highly allergic to them. I have to keep an EpiPen just in case

Ouch! Hope you never need to use that pen, but it's nice to have one. My elder granddaughter keeps one with her in case she is exposed to peanuts or anything containing them.

Some posters are just so prolific that they either resemble bots or are bots like the Putinphile who joined here this year. Spammers annoy me.

    A thoughtful post…
    You make good points.
For me there are posters in here who I call one-way posters. River is one of these who 99% of the time posts pro democrat and rarely attempts to understand those on the right.
Maybe I had little patience for his post knowing his pattern.
OTOH you are clearly a libbie but you try to be a decent person and occasionally make reasonable posts to all.
    That is my perception anyway.
