Some people on twitter are saying we have a favorable bracket. Stanford went toe to toe with the #2 national seed with a freshman in the circle. So it's going to be an interesting regional.

IMHO, I don’t view the field of 64 and their regions as solely an application of unbiased parameters. The analytics and parameters seemed to be used/ignored to produce a desired goal, resulting in the greatest probability of a field in WCWS that will have the strongest support and history attached. Another words, market share for the WCWS must be a factor.

Ocalaman, now that you mentioned it I do recall watching Boston U. down in Tampa playing another opponent while waiting for our game later in the day. I remember being very impressed with them and thinking that they might give us a close game. Of course that didn’t happen as we run ruled all three opponents and the USF game was postponed due to weather.

I just looked at the seeds/matchups and totally agree with all the comments on Bama's seeding. A big WTH! By no objective measure do they deserve their seeding. It looks like they have a free ride to OKC after a season that wasnt all that great by their standards.

No official word yet, but unconfirmed ACL tear. A devastating way to end her athletic career.

Alabama is #12 in RPI, #3 in SOS overall, #18 in non-conference SOS and are 9-10 vs. Top 25 teams. Plus they finished 5th in the SEC and got a #5 National seed??!! Not worthy of a Top 8 seed, IMO.

I'm surprised there isn't any word on the status of Montana. Not necessary from Murphy or Fouts herself, but from somewhere like extra inning softball, or an Alabama sports page. Makes me wonder if she is out for the remainder of the season. Unless something happened and she wasn't able to see the doctor yesterday.

Under the HIPAA laws, only Fouts and/or her family can release that information or authorize it's release. If the university, coaches or anyone else discloses her condition without permission they will be in serious legal trouble.
