SECT OGT -- FLORIDA vs. Texas A&M 03/16/2023 (3:30 PM -- ESPN)

Despite the last few seconds, we have absolutely owned the last 5 minutes of these last two first halves, and have turned both games around. Yesterday blew out Alabama in those last 5 minutes, and today erased potentially getting blown out.

I like our chances in the second half.

 

It is SO hard to pass up a straight line like this, but I will.

 

The biggest problem so far is the way the refs are legislating Obaseki fouls. Can’t play defense on him, so basically you have to let him take the layup uncontested. If a defender is within 1 foot of him it’s an automatic foul or and 1.

 

They also tool 34 shots to our 26. We took their best shot in the first half. We need Clayton to show up in the 2nd half. I guess the question is, can he guard Taylor or what's our option there?

 

Hell of a game!

 

We started to get in a flow on offense towards the end of the half. We need to get the ball out of Taylors hands. I like our chances.

 

the first five minutes of the second half will be very telling.

 

They need to fight for every loose ball and rebound. Use 2 hands and quit swatting it to the Aggies.

Where is Kugel? It’s obvious that our guys are tired from a tough game yesterday, so why wouldn’t he be seeing some significant minutes?

 

I do envy the guys that have wives that actually root for the Gators.

 

if Texas A&M can hit tough threes again in the second half then they just deserve to win. We need to force them to continue taking tough threes.

 

Once again, we see when shows officiates a game it’s whistle mania! He thinks he’s the show!

 

Lack of discipline with the ball and fighting around screens defensively. Terrible matchup for him. Leans into all of his weaknesses.

 

I'm not sure what they are saying on the radio side, but ESPN is using announcers well versed in the SEC so no excuse that Dykes or Marty Smith wouldn't say anything about Kugel not playing when we are playing on short rest
