SEC Tournament Softball

Florida softball as an 8 seed is almost unbelievable. But so are many things about this year's season. Very disappointing, but probably not more so than for the players and coaches. Just hope this is a wake-up call for all those in positions of authority to make the tough decisions to get the program back to where it should be. And I'll still be watching and pulling for them this year until the last out is made.

Great post Ocalaman. You hit the nail right on the head. Unfortunately the last out is going to occur much sooner than normal.

 

Most likely in about 10 days.

 

So far seeds 13 & 11 have won, & 10 just took a lead in extras.

Immediately followed by weather delay..lol

 

Just a few outs and the lightning strike would have been during the 35 minutes between games.

Now we have to wait 30 minutes for the lightning strike (six miles away from the stadium), then finish this game, then wait 35 minutes between games, then start the next game, then finish that game, then wait 35 minutes between games, and only then UF can start.

Especially with the evening forecast, it's doubtful UF will get the game in today or maybe we'll be playing midnight softball.

 

On CT so very possible at a midnight game here. Guessing a 10pm local time start deadline, at earliest.

I believed you when said it was D1..lol they get basball scores wrong constantly. i usually open the stattracker(box score) to double check them

 

If they can't start until tomorrow afternoon this could be a major problem. Tournament has to be completed relatively early on Sunday for the NCAA selection show is Sunday at 7PM

Only 2 games scheduled for Fri & the finals Sat. Should be able to miss up to a full day & still be ok. As long as Fri & Sat are clear.

 

Florida isn't playing tonight. Game time to be announced.

 

Florida plays 11am Thursday morning
