SEC Scheduling -- No More Divisions - Still 8 Games

Swap out Mizzou for Bama.

 

Is that really much different than in the 90s when UF, UT and UGA were arguably the best teams in the SEC or more recently, up until Smart turned UGA around, when all the power was in the SEC West? It's never going to be equally balanced.

 

Yet it was decided on the field.

I'll still watch gator games for sentimental value but NCAAF can go take a long walk off a short pier at this point.

 

This is exactly why I prefer the 1-8 model for a 9 game SEC slate. Much less “opportunity” for Birmingham shenanigans. Most of the 1 permanent opponent games are a lock.
